Robert Feig, MD
Retina Specialist
Dr. Robert Feig, MD was born and raised in New York and he lives in Brooklyn with his wife and two children. He is board certified in ophthalmology and is fellowship trained in retinal surgery. He attended medical school and his ophthalmology residency at the SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. Dr. Feig continued his training with a fellowship in vitreo-retinal surgery at the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center, in Dallas. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Feig speaks conversational Spanish.
Jonathan Sheindlin, MD
Retina Specialist
Dr. Jonathan Sheindlin, born and raised in New York, is a board certified Ophthalmologist with a sub specialty in diseases and surgery of the Retina and Vitreous. He graduated from New York Medical College and completed his residency in Ophthalmology at St. Luke's/Roosevelt Hospital Center in Manhattan. He continued his training at Harvard University Medical School with a fellowship in Vitreo-Retinal surgery. Dr. Sheindlin is an active member of many Ophthalmologic societies including American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Retinal Specialists, Bronx County Medical Society and NY State Ophthalmologic Society. He has been involved in numerous studies and publications. His research interests include posterior segment changes in the aging eye, complex diabetic retinal detachments, and long term strategies to decrease the damaging effects of retinal vascular diseases. He is actively involved in Resident education. Dr. Sheindlin carries the distinction of being named an Honorary Police Surgeon for the NYPD. He is fluent in Spanish.
Mark Harooni, MD

Dr. Mark Harooni, is a board certified ophthalmologist with a sub specialty in diseases and surgery of the retina and vitreous.
Dr. Harooni earned his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine and completed his residency in ophthalmology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. He continued his training with a fellowship in vitreo-retinal surgery at Harvard Medical School.
He is a fellow of the Academy of Ophthalmology. He is fluent in Farsi.
Sally Chetrit
Optometry
Sally Chetrit, is a licensed optometrist and Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. She graduated from the University of Montreal, School of Optometry and completed a clinical clerkship in Ocular Disease at the Syracuse Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She received her Residency training with a focus on Primary Eye Care & Ocular Disease from the State University of New York, College of Optometry. Her primary medical interests include glaucoma and diabetic retinal diseases. She has published several papers in the Canadian Journal of Optometry, and is a frequent peer to peer speaker on various ocular disease topics. Dr. Chetrit is fluent in French, Spanish and Hebrew.
Ali Freese OD
Optometry
Dr. Ali Freese is a residency-trained, licensed optometrist who takes pride in delivering thoughtful, comprehensive eye care. Originally from the Midwest, she earned her undergraduate degree at Creighton University before completing her Doctor of Optometry at Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry.
Her residency at the SUNY College of Optometry focused on Primary Care and Ocular Disease, an experience that deepened her commitment to medical optometry. In 2025, she joined the SUNY College of Optometry College Council, where she helps shape the future of optometric education and patient care.
Her clinical interests center on dry eye and retinal disease, and she enjoys staying current with new research so patients feel truly supported in their care. She also speaks conversational Spanish, which helps her connect with a wider range of patients.
Outside the office, you’ll usually find her cheering on the Creighton Bluejays, going to concerts, or discovering new restaurants with friends and family.
Ashley Cansu Ireland OD

Dr. Ashley Cansu Ireland is a residency-trained optometrist and Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, known for her empathetic approach and strong clinical judgment. She earned both her Doctor of Optometry and residency training at Nova Southeastern University, where she focused on primary care and ocular disease. Her early EMT experience helped shape her calm, patient-centered style, something her patients and students consistently appreciate.
She has developed broad expertise through roles in medical optometry, surgical co-management, emergency care, and high-volume clinical settings. Dr. Ireland has managed complex ocular conditions—including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and anterior uveitis—and is certified in advanced technologies such as Light Adjustable Lenses, EVO ICL co-management, and multiple myopia-control systems. Beyond clinical practice, she serves as Editor-in-Chief for StatPearls Publishing’s optometry content and acts as a COPE continuing education reviewer, ensuring high standards across the profession.
She is also deeply engaged in research, education, and professional development, having authored peer-reviewed publications, lectured nationally, and mentored optometry students in both academic and clinical environments. Driven by a passion for lifelong learning, Dr. Ireland stays at the forefront of medical advances so patients receive thoughtful, evidence-based care every time they walk into her exam room. She speaks English natively and has working proficiency in Spanish and Turkish.

Priya Shah, MD
Comprehensive Ophthalmology
Dr. Priya Shah is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cataract surgery. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin and her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. She spent a year working on cutting-edge glaucoma research at Baylor College of Medicine, resulting in publications in the Investigative Ophthalmology and Visual Science journal. She completed an internship at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC, before moving to New York for her residency training at NYU Langone Health.
Dr. Shah specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology and cataract surgery, including premium intraocular lens implantation, femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS). Dr. Shah speaks conversational Spanish, Gujarati, and Hindi.
Hanne Hansen, OD, FAAOD

Dr. Hanne Hansen is a residency-trained and licensed optometrist. After graduating magna cum laude from the University of New Hampshire with a bachelor of science in Neuroscience and Behavior, she obtained her doctor of optometry degree from the State University of New York College of Optometry where she graduated with honors and a concentration in glaucoma. Dr. Hansen completed her residency training in primary care and ocular disease at the VA New York Harbor Healthcare System and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. Her primary medical interests include glaucoma, neurological disorders of the optic nerve, and diseases of the retina. Dr. Hansen speaks conversational Spanish.
Spencer Langevin MD
Vitreoretinal Surgery and Uveitis
Spencer Langevin, M.D. was born and raised in Syracuse, New York. He received a B.S. from Syracuse University in Exercise Science, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He then received his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York.
He completed his internal medicine internship at Queens Hospital Center in Jamaica, NY, an affiliate of the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine. He then went on to complete his ophthalmology residency at Nassau University Medical Center where he served as chief resident. Dr. Langevin completed a fellowship at the Harkness Eye Institute at Columbia University in New York City where he received training in Ocular Oncology under Dr. Brian Marr.Dr. Langevin further specialized by completing a 2-year fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery and Uveitis at Retina Consultants/Albany Medical center in Albany, NY.
Dr. Langevin has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed literature, authored/co-authored 3 textbook chapters on both ocular oncology and retinal surgery, and has presented at local, national, and international meetings.
Dr. Langevin is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, Associate Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, International Society of Ocular Oncology, American Society of Retina Specialists, New York State Ophthalmological Society, American Medical Association, and Pan-American Ocular Oncology Society.
Dr. Langevin joined Brooklyn Eye Center as an ophthalmologist specializing in vitreo-retinal surgery, uveitis and ocular oncology. In his free time he loves to spend time with his wife and children, as well as playing golf and cheering for the Buffalo Bills, New York Mets, and Syracuse Orange.
